8 Beauty Tips for the Summer!

  1. Protect Your Skin: Protect your skin from UV rays by using a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
  2. Chic Travel Pouches: Favorite luxe resort line Calypso St. Barth makes an appearance at Target this month with a collection of limited-edition tie-dye- patterned cases ideal for toting your beauty essentials to the pool or beach.
  3. Wrinkle-Hiding Tanner: Finally, a two-in-one product that gives a natural glow and fills fine lines. Clarins Instant Smooth Self Tanning slides on over moisturizer, and there’s no need to use foundation.
  4. Pumped-Up Polish: A sunny coral-pink or red polish adds the perfect dose of color to a neutral-hued swimsuit or sundress.
  5. Sheer Lip Color: Bright pouts are turning sheer for summer. Six new translucent gloss-meets-balm lip shades from Yves Saint Laurent provide just the right amount of color and moisture.
  6. Leg Bronzer: Minis and shorts call for tan gams. To banish pasty skin in a pinch, try rubbing on Guerlain Terracotta Jambes de Gazelle Bronzing Mist, a fast-drying, nonsticky tinted formula (not a self-tanner) that leaves behind a fruity floral aroma and washes off in the shower.
  7. Skin Luminizers: Add radiance to your complexion by topping your regular bronzer with a highlighting pink or peach blush. Contour your cheekbones using a matte bronzer, then add some shimmer for a healthy glow. We like the long-lasting powder options from Lancôme and Estée Lauder.
  8. Shiny Hair Booster: Bumble and Bumble Shine On spray contains light silicones to keep frizz at bay. Plus, the petite bottle packs easily in your beach bag for glossing touch-ups throughout the day. Mist it on dry hair to gain back luster and give your color a lift.

15 Body Tips for Men

  1. Just because back hair is hard to shave doesn’t mean you have a green light to let it go unchecked. Buy an extended shaver specifically for back hair to make the process easier.
  2. Sunless tanning lotions aren’t only for female skin. Apply the lotion after you shower, and remember to wash your hands immediately after application.
  3. An obvious tip is to shower every day. When showering, use soap and water on every nook and cranny. It’s amazing how many people out there think that a shower consists of standing under the water for five minutes.
  4. Drink plenty of water because it will make your skin look healthier, and you younger.
  5. Whether or not you choose to completely shave your pubic hair is a personal choice; however, you should at least trim your pubic hair.
  6. While you’re in the barber shop, make sure they shave the back of your neck to prevent it from getting too hairy. Also, check the back of your neck in the mirror from time to time to ensure that it’s clean-shaven.
  7. If you tend to sweat a lot, try trimming your armpit hair. The less hair there, the less bacteria, which will make you smell much better!
  8. David Hasselhoff may have thought his chest hair was hot, but it’s definitely not. If you have what looks like a small animal on your chest, you should shave it off immediately.
  9. Those who have trouble keeping their body hair under control might want to consider hair removal treatments. Laser, electrolysis and waxing are three common methods for taking care of the problem.
  10. By exercising and eating healthy meals, you’ll gain more energy, and become a happier person all-around.
  11. One essential shower product you should always have is body wash. Body wash tones, moisturizes and softens your skin, which are three things that soap doesn’t always do.
  12. Never leave the house without first applying deodorant! Keep a stick in your car or locker at work if you tend to forget.
  13. If you don’t feel like sunless tanning lotion is doing the job for you, perhaps you should visit the salon and jump in a tanning bed.
  14. Don’t become a tanning addict. Tanning beds are great for getting a quick, streak less tan, but over-tanning can lead to wrinkly, leathery skin when you get older.
  15. Just like your face, your body needs to be exfoliated once a week so that you don’t get body acne. Find an exfoliating body wash at any drug store, and make sure you actually use it!

5 Tips for Flawless Skin

We all know that one baby-faced person with perfect skin. No blemishes, no dry spots - just a smooth, clear, radiant complexion. How do they achieve and maintain such a perfect complexion year-round? Here are some secrets.

1.Science and Medicine. The main thing women use to achieve the baby-face complexion are pills. There are several different kinds of pills that can control acne; birth control, hormones, antibiotics or pills specifically made for controlling acne. If you want to go this route, talk with your doctor and find out which would best be suited for you. If you are nature-oriented and do not want to mess around with pills, keep on reading. There are more beauty care secrets!

2.Use Cool Water. Many of us have long been taught that drying out your skin is the best way to control acne. We have news! It's not. Drying out your skin will cause it to produce more oil to gain back its 'protective layer'. Washing your face with a mild gel, such as Cetaphil or Spectrojel, and rinsing with cool-lukewarm water will keep your skin clean and clear without drying it out.

3.Keep Hydrated – Inside and Out. Aside from drinking plenty of water each day, fill your sink with lukewarm or cool water and add a few drops of oil. Coconut oil and Almond Oil are great choices. Hold your breath and soak your face for as long as you can. Come up for air and keep soaking for about 3-5 minutes. Your skin loves to soak up water, and you probably know that after having a long bath your skin feels the most soft and smooth. Finish your soak by immediately applying a light, unscented facial moisturizer and either let your skin air-dry or gently pat dry with a towel.

4.Blot Excess Oil. If your skin is constantly oily and shiny, blot with oil absorbing sheets. There are many different brands and they all have one main goal; to remove excess oil without the need for adding more pore-clogging powder to your face. Keeping as less stuff off your face as possible will keep it looking fresh and healthy.

5.Keep it Clean! The number one rule of maintaining healthy looking and flawless skin is to keep your hands off it. Your hands and fingertips are crawling with bacteria. You don't want this on your face and seeping into your pores. This is the number one way breakouts occur! Try to keep as much away from your face as possible and always remember to wash off your makeup at the end of each day.
Following these simple beauty care tips will give you smooth, clear and hydrated skin making it easy to apply makeup or feel confident without wearing any cover-up at all.

21 Beauty Tips for Women

Homemade Treatments for Hair Growth

There are a variety of treatments that have been passed down from generation-to-generation, and are said to improve hair growth and minimize baldness in both men and women. Here is a list that we've compiled of the most popular home remedies for hair growth:
Cayenne pepper and olive oil can be combined to promote blood circulation to your hair follicles.
To create this, you'll need 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper and 2 cups of olive oil.
  1. Mix them together, and then store the mixture in a dark bottle so as to protect the solution from the sun.
  2. Let the mixture meld together for two weeks before you begin applying it to your scalp and hair regularly.
  3. Let the mixture sit on your hair for half an hour or more before you use shampoo and conditioner
Recommended usage is every other day.

Another pepper treatment involves the use of Castor oil and vodka!
To create this treatment, you'll need one large jalapeno pepper, 0.5 cup of vodka, and 2 tablespoons of Castor oil.
  1. Begin by dicing the pepper up into small pieces, add the vodka, and let the mixture meld together for 10-15 days.
  2. Once you've waited long enough, spoon the peppers out of the vodka, and then add the Castor oil and shake well.
  3. Massage onto your scalp, and allow it to rest on your hair for an hour before washing with shampoo and conditioner.
  4. You can also sleep with this treatment on your locks (use a night cap to avoid ruining your pillow)

Quick Grooming Tips 4 Men!!!!

  1. If you don't iron your clothes, remove them immediately from the dryer so wrinkles don't set.

  2. In hot weather, wear light-colored, cotton clothing and socks. This will absorb less heat and "sweat stains" will be less visible.

  3. Consider trimming your arm pit hairs in warm weather. Less hairs, less bacteria, less smell. Think about it.

  4. Don't be reluctant to trim or tweeze any stray eyebrow hairs.

  5. Good dental hygiene means a dazzling smile.

  6. Open your eyes. If hair is the frame for your face, the eyes are the windows. Use eye drops to whiten the whites of your eyes for a fresher, younger look.
